In April, the feature film SAD JOKES by and starring Fabian Stumm celebrated its US premiere at the New Directors/New Films festival at MoMA and Lincoln Center. We are thrilled about the journey our film has taken since its premiere at last year’s Munich Film Festival! Co-produced by Nicola Heim / die schauspielfabrik berlin, who is also part of the cast.

The new trimester at the schauspielfabrik begins in April. We look forward to working with the new 3-month course participants and seeing our annual course again. Here’s to a productive and creative time!

Godehard Giese has been nominated for the German Film Awards for Best Supporting Actor for his work in SAD JOKES! Congratulations! The awards ceremony will take place on May 9th in Berlin. Fingers crossed!
